Magical Cup

What is one of your favorite memories growing up as a kid? Growing up, I used to love waking up in the mornings to the smell of coffee, that my dad had freshly brewed. Not one morning went by, where I did not smell coffee in the air. It gave me that warm cozy feeling, especially on cold winter mornings. Even though my dad would drink it every morning, my very first sip of coffee was not until I was in high school. I had to start off drinking a Caramel Frappuccino before I could like the taste of regular plain coffee. Now, I can drink it with just a little bit of milk. Everyone has that one thing that makes them happy and feel good, mine is coffee.

Coffee is a magical way to bring people together. It works for anyone, and even for busy office people looking to get away. Coffee has a way with people. The aroma smell of coffee can wake someone up, make them feel relaxed and comfortable. For me, coffee is not an addiction, it’s a love. I love how in our society today, coffee can be used for a single person, two people on a date getting to know one another or for a bunch of people looking to get together for a specific event. Escape is another wonderful way coffee comes into play.

When someone is stressed out, looking for some peace and quiet to hear their own thoughts, a coffee shop might be where they go. I know that when I feel overwhelmed, stressed out or just want to escape, I always look for small local coffee shops. Coffee shops have a very special place in my heart. They are an outlet from reality. They allow you to breathe and relax while sipping on your favorite coffee. Being in a coffee shop helps you regroup and recharge, feeling refreshed and ready to step back out into reality. It’s like a magical door that leads into a different world, a world where nothing matters and nothing is worried upon. A world where everything is laid back and stress-free. With the right environment, music, atmosphere and décor, furniture, coffee and food and most importantly people, a coffee shop can almost feel like heaven on earth.

When life is hectic and you feel like your drowning in stress or worry, try checking out a local coffee shop. I promise, with the right mindset and relaxation, you will fall in love just like me.

  1. I would say the same thing about hot chocolate! As a matter of fact, as the temperatures start to lower, even the thought of not cup of cocoa and gathering with my family brings a smile to my face.

  2. I’m with you on the coffee – it’s like having a warm hug in the morning : ) I also love going shopping with friends and then finishing off with cake and a coffee in a cute coffee shop and having an unwind and catch up. Lovely post, thank you.
